It is awesome. You don’t have to store photos on your phone. If you use iPhoto, you can view your albums through that, and share with friends, and view friends galleries.

Oddly for Apple, getting the photos off the phone has been one of the least intuitive processes ever. Getting them ON the phone is pretty easy, fortunately.
